Crazy sports stunts are always cool to see. Whether it’s doing something unusual with a golf ball or an epic jump over a pier, they’re always awesome. Below are five really cool sports stunts we’ve found recently.
Could You Hit a Clay Pigeon With a Golf Ball?
/p>
That’s exactly what was asked of a group of championship golfers at a recent challenge in Dubai. Put on by the European Tour; Thongchai Jaidee, David Horsey, Johan Edfors, and Simon Kahn were given the challenge of knocking a clay pigeon out of the air with a gold ball. Did they do it? Well someone did and the result was pretty damn awesome.
Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal Play Tennis on Water
If you thought hitting a clay pigeon with a golf ball was cool, here’s something else. There was an upcoming tennis tournament in Doha and in order to promote it they took Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal out on a boat and had them play a quick game of tennis on the water. The court itself was floating a few inches below the water, so they were kind of walking on water as they played a quick show game. Check it out.
Cable Car Speed Flying
Speed flying is a combination of skiing, skydiving, and para-gliding. Recently Antoine Montant did this along the abandoned cable car lines in Chamonix, France. A word of warning; if you don’t like heights, don’t watch this video. Some of the shots of him coming extremely close to the jagged peaks of the mountains he flew over are intense.
Amazing Marching Band Animation
A marching band in Hawaii did something awesome, and it was captured on video. The band members began on one side of the field and formed a giant stick-figure of a football player. The player then proceeded to walk across the field and kick a field goal. This is amazing for the amount of coordination it had to require to pull off as well as they did.
Kitesurfer Jumps Pier
Here’s something cool out of the UK. Ex-champion Kitesurfer Lewis Crathern jumped over the Brighton Pier. Don’t believe it? Check out the video. He apparently had to search for over two hours to find the right approach and then he had to get a bigger kite to do it, but he did it flawlessly. Very awesome!
