The Yo-Yo, the popular toy that drove your childhood mad, has more to it than meets the eye. In case this is new to you we inform you that they even do yo-yo competitions. Amazed? Well, so were we. I mean, what can you possibly do with a yo-yo – that simple string-tied-at-one-end-to-a-flat-spool gear – to get to be so skillful as to compete at the World Yo-Yo Contest? Google it if you don’t believe us.
Well, to keep the story short, we’re dropping two yo-yo celebrity names, such as they are:
Kenny Strasser – the not like this example
He’s a strange guy that shows up on Midwest’s morning shows, claiming to be a yo-yo trick champion. He is not. He is actually terrible at yo-yo. We actually think he’s a bit…unbalanced.
And there’s Shinji Saito
He’s the eleven-time, double-handed world champion Japanese guy, considered the best in the world that you’ve never heard about. Shame on you.
